I have three children and my daughter currently attends Pre-School. I joined the Pre-School Committee in 2016 and I have been Vice-Chair for 2 years, I have now taken on the Chair role.
I joined to support the Pre-School and to meet other parents, and I have made some good friends along the way. I also enjoy supporting the great team who look after our children. Prior to having children I managed a Bid Team for a large multi-national organisation and gained a lot of Project Management experience in that time. I have a degree in Economics.
I joined the Committee as Treasurer in 2017 when my eldest son was at Pre-School to meet other parents and to support the amazing job the dedicated staff do in looking after the children, making sure they all enjoy their time at Pre-School and are prepared for the transition to school. I currently work part-time as a management accountant at Nottingham Trent University and prior to that was a commercial analyst at a manufacturing company.
I grew up in Attenborough and after many years living in London, I returned to the village after having my first child. Prior to having children, I worked in food retail and now work part-time for Walgreens Boots Alliance as a Planning Manager. I have 2 daughters. I joined the Pre-School Committee in 2016. My daughter loves the Pre-School and I am keen to be involved, to support the fantastic team in its development and success.
I joined the committee in 2017 when my eldest daughter started Pre-School, I initially joined so I could support my daughter's journey but have really enjoyed meeting other parents and getting to know all the staff.
As well as being a mum of two girls I am a director of a curtains, blinds and soft furnishings company and prior to that a knitwear buyer for M&S.
I joined the Committee in 2018 after my eldest daughter started at Pre-school in mid-2017. I had heard great things about Attenborough Church Pre-School before we started and am really happy to recommend it myself to other local parents. My son absolutely loves his time there especially the amazing outdoor space.
I am a doctor by background but am currently a full-time mum to my two children and am enjoying being more involved in the running of Pre-School through the Committee.
I was born in South Africa and moved to the UK when I was 13 years old. I practised as a certified chartered accountant for 8 years in the UK, South Africa & the Caribbean - before joining the family tutoring business in Beeston, so that I could spend more time being a Mom. I have a son who joined the Pre-School in Sept 2020 and we have another little bump on the way! My son absolutely loves Pre-School, especially all the mud & outdoor play. As a fairly new Committee member, I am excited to support the Pre-School and be a part of their growth.
I joined Attenborough Church Pre-School in 2016 but have been working in childcare since 2005. I have an NVQ Level 3 in early years qualification alongside an NCFE classroom assistant and British Sign Language qualifications. I work with children because I like to see their achievements as they grow and develop and to smile together with them every day. At Pre-School I particularly enjoy organising various cultural events for the children. I am also a committee member, I have 2 children and in my free time I enjoy cooking, walking and yoga.
I have been working in childcare since 2007 and have twin girls of my own. I was Chair of my former Pre-School for several years and also a School Governor at Chetwynd Primary Academy for 7 years. I have been at Attenborough Church Pre-School since January 2015. My qualifications are NVQ Level 3 Childcare Learning and Development and NCFE Level 3 Teaching Assistant. I am Language Lead in Pre-School and I am a Staff Committee Member.
